Therapeutic conversations on Orø and online

I have always been fascinated by people, relationships and the things that shape us. Why do we react the way we do? Why do we keep repeating certain patterns? And what happens when we lose touch with ourselves – and have to find our way back again?

My own life has brought several big changes. Around 15 years ago I moved to Denmark and built a new life here. Denmark is my home today, while several languages and cultures are still a natural part of my everyday life.

I have been through divorce, lost people I loved, experienced stress and known what it is to be completely exhausted. So I know from my own life what it's like when something that used to work suddenly doesn't anymore – and you have to stop, look at yourself anew and find a different way.

An important part of my own development has been the psychotherapeutic work I have done myself. It has helped me understand my own patterns, make more conscious choices and create a life that feels more right for me.

Today I am happily married, the proud mother of a 21-year-old daughter and stepmother to a 13-year-old son. And Amigo, our dog, is of course an important member of the family too.

My path hasn't been a straight line

My working life has taken me through very different worlds.

I founded and ran my own English language school, worked for the Prosecution Service and later spent many years in Regulatory Affairs at international pharmaceutical and medical device companies.

Academically, I hold a master's degree in English and German as well as a master's degree in law.

Through many years in business, I have known a working life full of responsibility, ambition, complex decisions, deadlines and high expectations.

I know how it is possible to be capable, high-functioning and successful on the outside – and at the same time sense that something inside no longer feels right.

That is an experience I bring with me into the therapy room.

Why therapy became my path

My interest in people and relationships began long before my therapy training.

What drew me to therapy was, among other things, a wish to understand what happens to us when we come under pressure, lose our footing, repeat old patterns or drift so far from ourselves that we no longer quite know what we need.

In my work, it means a lot to me to be present when something starts to become clearer. When someone notices a pattern, senses a boundary, sees themselves in a new way or finds the courage to make a choice that feels more right.

It doesn't always have to be a big or dramatic change. Sometimes something important begins with a little more clarity, a little more calm or a new understanding of yourself.

For me, therapy isn't about having all the answers or becoming a different person. It's about understanding yourself better, sensing what you need and gaining more freedom to choose your own direction.

I am present and active in our conversations. I listen, but I also ask questions, explore things with you and help you notice what can be hard to see on your own.
